This summer seems to have last an actual season’s worth due to us having sunshine in it for once in our lifetime. The days are already getting cooler and I’m seeking jumpers to wear so I wanted to share with you what I’ve loved this summer.
I wanted to try and be the perfect Instagrammer with sunflower / rapeseed / lavender / strawberry field pictures. I even attempted to try and go to a fruit picking farm but alas due to the hot heat, they all died off extremely early! I’m not cut out to be on the ball every day and capturing the perfect on trend photo’s. It’s not me. So I spent my summer trying to be as outdoors as possible whilst barely spending a penny due to budget.
This summer has been full of picnics in the park.
Trips to the beach.
Baking and decorating cakes – badly I might add. With a promise to buy a nice one.
Feeding the ducks every other night.
Playing at the park and having little picnics.
Visiting the library.
Spending time with family.
Painting and destroying my watercolours in the process.
Playing with toys.
Setting goals for next summer ready for my toddler 3.0
Despite the chaos that seems to be my life, I am ever so thankful that I get to live each day and spend time with my daughter. I get to see her grow up and enjoy the summer with her. I’m trying to take care of myself too and this summer has seen more fake tan and nail varnish than ever before. It’s the little things that make up the big picture. But with it all being said I just can’t wait for jumper season and blankets.
What have you loved about summer this year?
